Yeah, but don't call Abkhazia and South Ossetia "ethnically Russian" - they are not, and never were. They are Abkhaz and Ossetian appropriately. Abkhazia does have some Russian minority population - it used to be a popular retiree place in USSR, but South Ossetia has almost none at all. These territories just align themselves with Russia as they don't like Georgia even more.
